The Dirty Tricks formed in 2008 and set out to make their mark on a somewhat uninspiring musical landscape.
With band members who's previous musical exploits had seem them play alongside acts such as The Kings of Leon, Bloc Party and the Arctic Monkeys, and with inspiration from a mix of sounds from the 60's, 70s and the best bits of the 90s, they soon went on to form a strong fanbase in their local area. This would soon grow on a national scale following two UK tours in support of their first single release 'The Believer', which received a good response from admirers and national press alike.
This was followed up by another full UK tour in 2009 for their second release, the double A side 'Free Your Soul/Come On Over'. This tour helped to secure the band's reputation as a well respected live act on the circuit in and outside of their local area, the release of 'Free your Soul/Come On Over' saw venues sizes which the band were being asked to play take a step up, seeing them play to near capacity crowds at venues such as The 100 Club, Norwich Waterfront, The Dublin Castle and a sold out show at the Norwich Art Centre.
Playing approximately 250 shows the since the band formed in 2008, the band continues to make their mark in venues up and down the country and will be making their first trip into Europe later this year. The band are currently in the process of finalising a deal with a new record label who will be releasing their debut album in October 2010.
