Welcome to our web site 'We are The Dirty Tricks' an East Anglian 4 piece Rock/Blues band with original material sounding like 'The Stones' hosting a dinner party for 'Zeppelin' whilst listening to 'The Kings of Leon' and 'Jet' being playing on vinyl in the background!

The Horn, St Albans
Indy the new rock? I'm not so sure after seeing The Dirty Tricks in St Albans.
With a new line up after much in band turmoil they are armed with an arsenal of new songs and somewhat more aggressive and louder approach. Rock by the numbers this isn't. The band look excited and ready as they don their instruments, and with a quick hello they blast into their first offering. A somewhat lacklustre crowd is suddenly enhanced as many people here the beginning of a revolution of a band ten years old but ready to strike anywhere.
Its fresh but familiar, its comfortably loud and melodic and oh so tight. The new bassist shows his wears by turning it up and playing like he's been in this band from the start.

Andy is an endearing front man, as the set progresses we see much foot stomping and soloing. He is really enjoying this. The songs are written for the people and the people are lapping it up here without a doubt. The drums are also played with conviction by an extremely talented and hilarious stick weilder, when there was silence there he was with quips and jokes, I like the fact this man has a mic.
Overall the set was great, I found myself stomping my foot at times, only to stop when I started spilling my beer. You need to give this band a listen and by you I mean Norwich, they deserve a bigger fan base than they have.
Rock is still alive and its heart is The Dirty Tricks.
